loved Rajkumar Rao’s acting most in Shaadi me zaroor aana which was his career-best but this one is his career-best in the suspense genre what to say abt huma she is good as a supporting actor but loved her acting in the Maharani series want to see both of them more even Radhika Apte was apt acting is class from all This movie won’t permit you to pause or move out of your sofa or bed.
It keeps you engaged and the moment you think, he or she is the murderer, then you are proved wrong with back-to-back suspense in the movie with awesome acting by each and every actor and actress. The director did a good job here and the script was totally great. The music is good.
A rollercoaster ride you can’t miss! Movies are all about entertainment and this one is ace here. The storyline is gripping and engaging and the characters are grey so that you don’t cringe at the fake goodness of characters you come across in most movies. They all seem something from the outside and conceal something else inside! That’s the beauty of how they have been etched out by the writer.
The plot is unique and the script is taut. The dialogues are real and it’s a lingo we can identify and relate with. The credit, of course, goes to the writer. Yogesh Chandekar seems like a master storyteller ( You can’t forget Andhadhun). Once again it proves that good content always works. We nowadays have movies that just drag on without any storyline to speak of. In the end, the viewer is left feeling dissatisfied at what he has been made to sit through.
In Monica, the writer, director, and cast will make sure you don’t leave your seats! That’s the effect it has on the viewer. Vasan Bala knows his craft and gives a superlative direction. The way he treats every scene is a sheer joy to watch( despite the dark side to the scenes) Music by Achint Thakkar does wonder to the scenes and it has gone a long way in enhancing the effect of the scenes!
It seems integral and not jarring. The performances are excellent! ACP Naidu( Radhika Apte) is a riot! Huma as always leaves an impact that stays with you! I think only Rajkumar Rao has it in him to play the hero who makes no bones in not looking and behaving like a stereotypical hero! That’s what makes him tick!
Bagavathi Perumal is another name worth mentioning. He’s too good! Sikander Kher…we need him more in movies! All in all, it’s an experience you will have fun watching, get engrossed, get entertained, and come out of it feeling ‘ all’s not lost after all!’
Bollywood needs to take note of such movies instead of digging a grave for itself by making formula movies that boast of big numbers, big openings, high costs of filmmaking, starry tantrums, poor content, and a bubble that bursts even before you fully inflate it!
